The scratcher that looks like a rug. A faux sisal floor mat your cat can scratch, stretch and nap on, with no cardboard crumbs left across the floor.
Cardboard scratchers shred, shed and need replacing, and most of them look out of place in a nice room. This mat is a woven, looped-pile rug made from imitation sisal. Cats get a firm, textured surface to dig their claws into, and you get something that sits on the floor like a regular mat.
Why it beats cardboard
- No crumbs or fluff – the looped weave is made to hold together, so you're not sweeping up cardboard bits every morning.
- A full-body stretch – cats like to scratch lying flat and stretched out. Bigger sizes give them room to do it without hitting the edge.
- Scratch, play and nap – use it in front of the couch, under a bed, beside the litter tray or as a sleeping mat.
- Looks like part of the room – plain woven colours that sit quietly on timber, tiles or carpet.
- Easy to clean – vacuum it, wipe up spills, or rinse it with water and let it dry.
Getting your cat to use it
- Lay it in front of the spot your cat scratches now, such as the arm of the couch.
- Drag a wand toy across it so your cat chases and digs in.
- Sprinkle a little catnip on it for the first few days.

Questions
Will my cat actually use a flat mat?
Many cats prefer scratching on the floor, stretched out flat, which is why they go for rugs and carpet. Put the mat where your cat already scratches, and use a toy or catnip to get them started. If your cat prefers scratching upright, add our stick-on scratch mat to a wall or the couch.
Which size should I get?
Measure your cat from nose to back paws when stretched out. Pick a mat a little longer than that so they can stretch fully. For two or more cats, go for 60 × 90 cm or larger.
How do I clean it?
Vacuum loose fur, wipe spills with a damp cloth, or rinse the mat with water and let it dry completely before putting it back down.
How does shipping and returns work?
Orders are processed within 1–3 business days, and shipping costs and delivery estimates are shown at checkout. You'll get a tracking link by email once it's on the way. If it arrives damaged or faulty, email support@izanor.com with your order number and a photo. See our refund policy for details.
